About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Web and Graphic Designer to join our marketing team. This role involves maintaining and enhancing our website while producing high-quality graphics for digital platforms. The ideal candidate should be able to navigate WordPress for website updates and customizations, excel in graphic design to support marketing campaigns and brand materials, and be motivated to continuously learn and improve in both areas.
Required Skills
Web Design Skills:
Proficiency in WordPress (themes, plugins, basic customization).
Familiarity with HTML/CSS for troubleshooting and custom adjustments.
Basic knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
Understanding of SEO best practices and how they apply to website design.
Knowledge of website responsiveness, performance optimization, and security.
Familiarity with version control practices.
Eagerness to learn the latest WordPress updates and features, improving website management skills over time.
Graphic Design Skills:
Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Photoshop, Canva, Figma etc
Strong sense of aesthetics, color theory, and typography.
Experience in designing for social media, website graphics, and digital ads.
Ability to maintain consistent branding and adapt designs to various platforms.
Willingness to continuously learn and master advanced design tools and techniques to stay current in the field.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in WordPress management and graphic design.
Understanding of UI/UX principles.
Basic video editing or animation skills are a plus but not required (willingness to learn if necessary).
Portfolio showcasing a blend of website and graphic design work.
